“Before the installation, it’s all about having everything organised so you know it’ll go well, and there’s no guesswork.
I’ll often visit the site beforehand to get questions answered and make sure the installers have the confidence they need to make the installation effective.
There are plenty of simple time-saving tips that can be learned, which, when accumulated, can save hours on the whole installation. How to fix cable trays correctly or how to line up desktops quickly, for example.
On the install days
This is where organised logistics and well-thought-out prep pay off. A dedicated delivery turns up at the site early, with everything clearly labelled. Installers are ready with the tools they need because they know what to expect. The space is clear.
Pre-drilled desktops inserted for metal-to-metal fixings, which we provide as standard for all our workstations, save 5 minutes per desktop compared to woodscrewing straight to the tops.

When things don’t go to plan
An under-valued factor is if something doesn’t quite go to plan, how soon can you get the installation back on track?
We’re not perfect, and with thousands of our height adjustable workstations going into workspaces throughout the year, occasionally we’ll experience technical issues or an overlooked part of the prep that affects our clients’ installations.
Although this happens rarely, our clients really appreciate how we can drop what we’re doing and respond at very short notice, often within the same day, to help the installers get back on schedule. One valued client summed it up recently: “There were a couple of snags, but you’ve fixed them immediately, which is an anomaly of service.””
